The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Notturna tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kersikov swivels and escapes.

Notturna closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Notturna has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kersikov tries to roll over but Notturna keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Notturna seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Notturna bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kersikov's guard.

Notturna has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Notturna seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Notturna is fighting to break Kersikov's control of his arms but Kersikov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
