Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gillechriosd McCoy (ranked 163 p4p, 187 weight class) and Darstknasset Oystenteller (ranked 24 p4p, 28 weight class). McCoy comes to the cage accompanied by YxngB - The Irish. Oystenteller has chosen "You're Having My Baby" by Paul Anka as his entrance music. Gillechriosd McCoy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darstknasset Oystenteller!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oystenteller dives in and scores a takedown into McCoy's guard.
Oystenteller looking to pass the guard.
McCoy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Oystenteller looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McCoy has momentary wrist control but Oystenteller slips an elbow through the middle.
McCoy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Oystenteller's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Oystenteller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McCoy is keeping the position for now.

McCoy is looking for a triangle but Oystenteller pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Oystenteller tries to move into range but McCoy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
McCoy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oystenteller sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McCoy digs a good hook to Oystenteller's body.

Oystenteller shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Oystenteller was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McCoy gets back to half guard.

McCoy looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
McCoy tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Oystenteller has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Oystenteller sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Oystenteller lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McCoy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

McCoy holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Oystenteller tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

McCoy is looking to improve his position but Oystenteller isn't that keen on the idea.

Oystenteller lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

McCoy lands a really nice looking cross but Oystenteller seems unphased.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oystenteller creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McCoy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Oystenteller looks to land a strike but McCoy avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Oystenteller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McCoy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Oystenteller has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McCoy has passed into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCoy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Oystenteller is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

McCoy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Oystenteller is looking to regain half guard here but McCoy keeps moving and retains side control.
McCoy throws an elbow but Oystenteller slips to the side and avoids it well.
Oystenteller is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McCoy is keen to just control but Oystenteller is a slippery customer.
McCoy is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Oystenteller moves into full guard.
Oystenteller lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oystenteller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McCoy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

McCoy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
McCoy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Oystenteller puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
McCoy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Oystenteller.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McCoy is pressing down on Oystenteller's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Oystenteller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oystenteller passes McCoy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Oystenteller thows a huge punch but McCoy dodges it nicely.
McCoy keeping hold of Oystenteller's head, controlling as best he can.

Oystenteller throws a strike but McCoy manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Oystenteller tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gillechriosd McCoy!
Gillechriosd McCoy retains his lightweight title!
An out of breath Gillechriosd McCoy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Darstknasset Oystenteller was interviewed post fight and said 'No worries! The Athletic Commission has just announced my opponent tested positive for illegal steroids again, so this fight has been declared a No-Contest. Thank you to those of us who continue to fight clean!'.
