Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marc Antoine Mercier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gage Hurt!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mercier.
Mercier walks into a stiff left hand from Hurt.
Hurt connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mercier's hands.
Hurt dips to his left and cracks Mercier with an uppercut!
Mercier fails to land the takedown.
Hurt listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Hurt fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hurt cracks Mercier with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Mercier is rocked!
Hurt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oh Mercier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hurt sends Mercier crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hurt is motioning to the referee to let Mercier up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Mercier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hurt as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Antoine Mercier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hurt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mercier sprawling to the canvas! Mercier rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hurt finish him?!
Hurt cracks Mercier with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mercier tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hurt pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mercier is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
