The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mujica ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Messier moves away.
Messier seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Messier doesn't manage to clinch there - Mujica circles away.
Mujica feints the counter takedown.
Messier tries to clinch but Mujica is having none of it.
Mujica tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Mujica lands a left and a right that send Messier crashing to the mat, dazed. Mujica thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Messier is rocked!

It looks like Gaston Messier has been cut.
Mujica closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Messier! Mujica dives in looking to finish! Messier is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
