Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Obasi (ranked 4901 p4p, 23383 weight class) and Ernesto Valerio (ranked 553 p4p, 611 weight class). Valerio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: God is a DJ - Faithless. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ernesto Valerio enters the cage!

Valerio is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Valerio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Obasi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Valerio working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Obasi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Obasi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Valerio controls Obasi momentarily but Obasi frees himself.
Valerio is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Obasi has his hands clasped together but Valerio extends and breaks Obasi's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Valerio.
