Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dionizy Kruczek (ranked 3016 p4p, 1642 weight class) and Akahoshi Hisashi (ranked 374 p4p, 223 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kruczek might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Born To Raise Hell. Hisashi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Feng Shui kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Akahoshi Hisashi acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dionizy Kruczek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Akahoshi Hisashi!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruczek with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hisashi to score with a decent uppercut.
Kruczek throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hisashi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hisashi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kruczek misses the jab.
It seemed like Hisashi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kruczek is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kruczek has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Hisashi manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kruczek throws a shot from downtown. Hisashi moves away and avoids it.
Hisashi misses with a hook. Kruczek ducked under it nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kruczek fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hisashi sprawls well initially but Kruczek persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hisashi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kruczek is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hisashi defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Hisashi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Akahoshi Hisashi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Hisashi lands a glancing blow to the side of Kruczek's head.
Dionizy Kruczek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kruczek swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hisashi feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kruczek sprawling to the canvas! Kruczek rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hisashi finish him?!

Kruczek is rocked!
Kruczek lands a jab to Hisashi's midsection.
Oh Kruczek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whack! Hisashi lands a heavy head kick that drops Kruczek. The ref tackles Hisashi to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Kruczek was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Akahoshi Hisashi!
