Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bum Phillips (ranked 1004 p4p, 1824 weight class) and AJ Llewellyn (ranked 128 p4p, 213 weight class). Llewellyn has chosen Doomsday as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bum Phillips!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Llewellyn!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Llewellyn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Phillips.
Llewellyn misses with a straight left.
Llewellyn looks to land a left hand but Phillips moved out of range nicely.
Phillips slips a jab from Llewellyn.
Phillips swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Phillips defending well as Llewellyn loads up on a big left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Llewellyn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Phillips.
We've been hearing reports that Phillips has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Phillips slips a straight right by Llewellyn.
A little feinted left hand from Phillips on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Phillips ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Phillips was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Llewellyn clobbers Phillips with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Llewellyn might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Llewellyn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Phillips looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Llewellyn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Llewellyn is trying to control. Phillips wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Llewellyn passes the guard and advances to mount!

Llewellyn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Llewellyn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Phillips is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Llewellyn defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Llewellyn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Phillips has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Llewellyn has managed to get both his arms back between Phillips's legs - danger averted.

Llewellyn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phillips swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Phillips might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Llewellyn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Phillips haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well Llewellyn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
