Averescu uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Averescu missing with a left hand there. Tarlah was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A little feinted left hand from Tarlah on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Averescu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tarlah.
Averescu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Balink Tarlah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Averescu thuds his right hand into Tarlah's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Averescu throws a good cross that connects.
Tarlah slips a straight right by Averescu.
Tarlah throws out a loose jab but Averescu uses good head movement to avoid it.

Averescu throws out a counter right but Tarlah avoids it with no problem.
Averescu lunges at Tarlah with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tarlah's hand.
Tarlah throws a hook to the side of Averescu's head but Averescu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tarlah throws a looping overhand right but Averescu ducks down to avoid it.
Tarlah's corner calls for a 1-2. Tarlah obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Averescu needs to keep his hands up - Tarlah had a free shot at his head there.

Tarlah steps into range and cracks Averescu with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Averescu flops backwards and Tarlah dives into his guard looking to finish!

Averescu is rocked!
Our spies down at at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies inform us that Averescu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Averescu has his foot on Tarlah's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tarlah works his way back into a safe position though.
Averescu is still in real trouble! Can Tarlah finish him?
Tarlah works over Averescu with some ground and pound from guard.
Tarlah arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Averescu's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
