Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cestmir Cejka (ranked 2723 p4p, 2246 weight class) and Michael Fochi (ranked 349 p4p, 293 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cestmir Cejka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Fochi!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fochi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cejka.
Cejka closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cejka lands a really nice looking cross but Fochi seems unphased.
Cejka throws an overhand right that lands on Fochi's shoulder, as Fochi tries to avoid the shot.
Cejka jabs Fochi right on the nose. Fochi blinks but takes it well.
Fochi misses with a straight right.
Fochi tries to score with a low kick but Cejka moves his leg out of the way.
Cejka throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Fochi looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Fochi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Fochi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cejka is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Fochi tries to free his leg and advance position but Cejka is retaining full guard.
Cejka is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Brloh that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Fochi wants to control from the top but Cejka keeps moving.
Cejka wants to stand but Fochi is controlling the position.
Fochi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cejka is looking to stand up but Fochi isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Fochi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cejka.
Cejka throws a looping overhand right but Fochi ducks down to avoid it.
Cejka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cejka checks a leg kick nicely.
It looked like Cejka was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fochi dives in for a single leg takedown but Cejka sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nice defenses there by Fochi.

Fochi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cejka tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fochi is in Cejka's guard.
Fochi prevents Cejka from getting back to his feet.

Fochi stops Cejka from standing up.
Fochi passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Fochi tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cejka's legs.
Cejka is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fochi asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Cejka prevents Fochi from improving position.

Fochi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Cejka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fochi has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A swing and a miss from Cejka.
Cejka scores with a decent looking hook.
Fochi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cejka's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cejka takes a swing at Fochi's ribcage but misses.
Fochi looks to score with a jab to the body but Cejka is just out of range.
Cejka throws a lazy right hand but Fochi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fochi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michael Fochi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cejka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cejka lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fochi dives in for a single leg takedown but Cejka sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cejka scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nice straight punches there by Cejka. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cejka.
Cejka takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cestmir Cejka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fochi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cejka avoids it really well and circles away.
Fochi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cejka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cejka throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fochi on the side of the head.

As Fochi looks to move away, Cejka throws a big counter combo but Fochi just gets out of the way.

Cejka throws the left hand but Fochi avoids the punch easily.
Fochi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cejka lands a nice shot that snaps Fochi's head back.
Fochi takes one to the side of the head.
Fochi throws a jab but it's blocked by Cejka.
A counter left hand to the body from Cejka misses its target.
Fochi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Cejka is rocked!
Cejka throws a shot from downtown. Fochi moves away and avoids it.
Oh Cejka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cejka is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Cejka looks to land a left hand but Fochi moved out of range nicely.

Fochi is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Cejka is in big trouble! Fochi is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Cejka. Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Michael Fochi!
