Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Ponce (ranked 4050 p4p, 4078 weight class) and Chang Hyonu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacob Ponce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chang Hyonu!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponce keeps Hyonu at a distance using the push kick.
Ponce will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hyonu moves into the clinch successfully.

Ponce is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hyonu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ponce to the mat. Ponce regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ponce throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hyonu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ponce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hyonu throws an elbow that misses. Ponce uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hyonu's guard. Nice move by Ponce!

Ponce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ponce trying to control the action but Hyonu is working from the bottom.
Ponce has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hyonu tries to improve position but can't.
Ponce wants to stand but Hyonu is controlling his arm.
Hyonu tries to buck Ponce off but Ponce is having none of it.

Ponce wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hyonu keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hyonu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ponce trying to control the action but Hyonu is working from the bottom.
Hyonu tries to improve position but can't.

Ponce tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Ponce is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hyonu is trying to escape and Ponce transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hyonu is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ponce! Very nice indeed!
