Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Masako Tanaka (ranked 4068 p4p, 4070 weight class) and Lee Ting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka slips under a jab.
Tanaka is looking for a counter combo.

Ting breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ting lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Ting clinches up with Tanaka and pushes him back against the cage.

Ting pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tanaka darts in looking for a takedown but Ting gets double underhooks and turns Tanaka into the cage.

Tanaka misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ting.

Tanaka has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ting is trying to keep an underhook but Tanaka manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Ting has one foot on Tanaka's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tanaka closes the distance and clinches up with Ting, looking for a takedown. Tanaka pushes Ting against the cage but Ting circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Ting has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
