Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle ONeill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Redz Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle ONeill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Redz Crusher!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

ONeill clinches with his opponent.
Crusher drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

ONeill has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crusher uses from the top position.
Crusher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Crusher passes ONeill's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Crusher with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Crusher tries to pass to full mount but ONeill defends it.
ONeill tries to roll over but Crusher keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ONeill regains full guard. Nicely done.
ONeill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Crusher looking to sit in guard and control but ONeill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
ONeill throwing strikes from guard but Crusher blocks nicely.

Crusher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
ONeill wants to control from the top but Crusher keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crusher keeps the fight on the outside.
ONeill is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Crusher not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
ONeill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
ONeill wants to control from the top but Crusher keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
ONeill seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
ONeill throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

ONeill closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Crusher to the mat! Crusher manages to get full guard.
Crusher is trying to control the position but ONeill postures up.

Crusher trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Crusher drops back looking for a leg! ONeill is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and ONeill manages to kick Crusher off! Crusher jumps back into ONeill's guard.

ONeill throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Crusher is breathing heavily.

Crusher drops back, looking for a kneebar! ONeill looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. ONeill looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from ONeill!
ONeill is looking to take a break and control but Crusher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Crusher's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
ONeill is chipping away with strikes.
ONeill landing a few strikes.
Crusher trying to control but ONeill flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
You can see the frustration on Crusher's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

ONeill just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Crusher prevents ONeill from getting a body triangle.
Crusher breaks ONeill's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

ONeill throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

ONeill forces Crusher back against the cage and clinches.
ONeill with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Crusher jumps into guard, dragging ONeill to the mat.
ONeill controls from within his opponent's guard.

ONeill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
ONeill is stalling in the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle ONeill dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



ONeill drives through and clinches with Crusher against the cage.
Crusher tries to pull guard but ONeill holds him up against the cage and eventually Crusher drops back down to his feet.

ONeill has clasped his hands together around Crusher's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
ONeill lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
ONeill is looking to take a break and control but Crusher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Crusher's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Crusher manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crusher takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Crusher is staying active underneath ONeill, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

ONeill is really struggling to control Crusher but he's trying to hold on to the position.
ONeill takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
ONeill trying to control from half guard but Crusher is working away.
ONeill drops an elbow to the side of Crusher's head.
ONeill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crusher does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Crusher is trying to control but ONeill passes into side control!
ONeill throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Crusher tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
ONeill tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
ONeill pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
ONeill lands a heavy elbow.
ONeill fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
ONeill cracks Crusher with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

ONeill lands a nice shot to the head.

ONeill with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
ONeill prevents Crusher from getting the reversal.
ONeill controlling his opponent.
Crusher is looking to improve his position but ONeill isn't that keen on the idea.
Kyle ONeill is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
ONeill lands a big shot there that rocks Crusher but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Crusher is trying desperately to improve position.
ONeill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Redz Crusher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well ONeill has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
