The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaby stuffs the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaby which made him look bad.
Diaby throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Silva slips under a jab from Diaby.
Toby Diaby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diaby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Diaby decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva tries to roll over but Diaby keeps him under control.
Silva tries to kick Diaby off but Diaby keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Silva is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Diaby decides to return to a standing position.
Diaby lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Edivaldo Silva has been cut.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Diaby won't be happy with that.

Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Diaby has one of Silva's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Diaby manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Diaby wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.

Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Diaby is defending well.
Diaby wants to get back to full guard.

Diaby kicks Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Diaby throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

Diaby shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Diaby finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is looking for a triangle here but Diaby uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Silva tries a head kick but it misses.

and Diaby counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Silva to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Diaby!
