PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Mazepin (ranked 3574 p4p, 24015 weight class) and Hyu Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazepin comes to the cage accompanied by boom. Head has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Mazepin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hyu Head!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Head looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Mazepin looking for submissions off his back.

Head really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mazepin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mazepin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Head defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Head has gone for a leg lock! Mazepin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Head's guard.

Head utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

It looks like Hyu Head has been cut.
Mazepin postures up in Head's guard and throws a big left but Head blocks it.

Mazepin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mazepin stands up over Head, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mazepin distracts Head with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Head looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mazepin is one step ahead there.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Head feints and as Mazepin raises his hands in defense, Head changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mazepin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Head defends it easily.
Mazepin wants to sweep but no luck.

Mazepin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Mazepin has his foot on Head's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Head works his way back into a safe position though.

Mazepin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Head wants to control from the top but Mazepin keeps moving.

Head is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mazepin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Head is looking to defend but Mazepin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Head! Mazepin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Head taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Fedor Mazepin!
