Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Big Daddy (ranked 1366 p4p, 1759 weight class) and Gerald Phoenix (ranked 114 p4p, 149 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Gerald Phoenix!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix feints and then cracks Daddy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Daddy down.
Gerald Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Daddy or perhaps it was just good defense by Phoenix, which made it look bad.
Phoenix was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Daddy has been working on his balance at Ragnarok\'s Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Phoenix.
Phoenix ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daddy moves away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Big Daddy.
