Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Floy Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zdenko Killa!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killa closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Killa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Castro.
Castro slips a jab and a cross from Killa.
Castro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Castro lands a jab.
That has opened up Zdenko Killa's cut even more.
Castro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Castro avoids the head kick by Killa.
Killa looks winded!
Killa tries to clinch but Castro moves away
and Castro counters with a nice right hand that sends Killa toppling to the canvas! Killa scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Castro finish him?!
Killa is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Castro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Killa is still on wobbly legs! Can Castro finish him?
Castro is stalking Killa. Killa circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Castro, and it's lights out! Killa really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Floy Castro!
A relieved looking Floy Castro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
