Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Haruki Muramaki (ranked 525 p4p, 1011 weight class) and Chris McCocker (ranked 73 p4p, 134 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris McCocker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCocker avoids the body shot from Muramaki.
Muramaki dodges the punch combination from McCocker.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Muramaki misses with the combination.
Muramaki fails to land with a series of punches.
McCocker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McCocker dives in and grabs Muramaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Muramaki pushes down on McCocker's head and hops out.

Muramaki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Muramaki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Muramaki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio in the buildup to the fight.
McCocker just misses with a punch to the body.
Muramaki misses with an uppercut. McCocker saw that one coming.
McCocker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
McCocker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Muramaki on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Muramaki throws a nice looking combination but McCocker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McCocker is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Muramaki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McCocker.

McCocker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muramaki but Muramaki pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Haruki Muramaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris McCocker.
Muramaki stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McCocker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Muramaki moves away.

McCocker closes the distance and clinches up with Muramaki, looking for a takedown. McCocker pushes Muramaki against the cage but Muramaki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McCocker throws a right and a left that Muramaki avoids nicely.
Muramaki swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Muramaki throws out a powerful jab.
McCocker goes for a double leg but Muramaki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Muramaki continues to drive forward.

and McCocker counters with a single leg into guard. Muramaki didn't expect that.
McCocker is standing up over Muramaki. Muramaki looks to escape but McCocker dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Muramaki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McCocker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
