Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Soikkeli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roller Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Soikkeli might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Capleton - Liberation Time. Gracie has chosen Yes as his entrance music. Roller Gracie acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pekka Soikkeli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Soikkeli fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Soikkeli gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gracie passes Soikkeli's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie works his way into side control.
Soikkeli prevents Gracie from moving into mount.
Soikkeli is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gracie passes to side control.
Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Soikkeli, who protects the arm well.
Soikkeli tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Soikkeli wants to get back to his feet but Gracie drags him back down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie looks gassed!
Soikkeli can't do much from the bottom here.
Soikkeli gets back to half guard.
Soikkeli works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Soikkeli is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Soikkeli has escaped and now he's on top!
Soikkeli works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done.
Soikkeli slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gracie tries to bench press Soikkeli off him but Soikkeli keeps the position.
Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Soikkeli decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gracie to his feet.
Soikkeli feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Soikkeli trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Soikkeli lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Soikkeli!
Soikkeli can't escape the position.
Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Soikkeli is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position!
Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Soikkeli gets to his feet. Gracie looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Soikkeli lands with a shot to the body.
Soikkeli tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Gracie takes one to the side of the head.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Soikkeli counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Soikkeli's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Soikkeli's back!
Gracie looking for the choke but no joy.
Soikkeli manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gracie's guard. Nice work there by Soikkeli.
Soikkeli postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soikkeli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pekka Soikkeli dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Soikkeli darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Soikkeli wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.
Gracie wants to get back to full guard but Soikkeli has passed into side control.
Pekka Soikkeli overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gracie tries to improve his position but Soikkeli has taken his back! Soikkeli has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Gracie tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Soikkeli pushes Gracie away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pekka Soikkeli!
