And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Yoshihiro Akiyama!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Akiyama shoots in but no luck this time.
Porter tries to counter with a takedown but Akiyama is quick to defend against it.
Porter shoots in looking for a takedown but Akiyama manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Porter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And Akiyama tries to counter it with a takedown but Porter pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Porter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Akiyama defends well and Porter ends up having to push Akiyama into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Porter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Akiyama is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Porter to the mat. Porter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Porter (0) vs (2) Akiyama

Porter tries to free his leg and advance position but Akiyama is retaining full guard.

Akiyama prevents Porter from moving into mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Akiyama is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Porter is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Akiyama is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Akiyama flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Porter anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Akiyama and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Porter slips an arm under Akiyama chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Porter has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Porter is squeezing on Akiyama like an anaconda would it's prey. Akiyama fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
