PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Fedorov (ranked 1614 p4p, 1777 weight class) and Jisoo Oh (ranked 222 p4p, 238 weight class). Fedorov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Miyagi & Эндшпиль feat. Рем Дигга - I Got Love. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Fedorov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jisoo Oh!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh lands with a nice body punch.
Fedorov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Oh looks to land a combination. Fedorov sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fedorov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Oh jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fedorov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oh connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fedorov momentarily.
Oh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fedorov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

And Oh tries to counter it with a takedown but Fedorov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fedorov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oh.

Fedorov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fedorov.

Fedorov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Oh on the side of the head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fedorov enables Oh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fedorov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fedorov wants to sweep here but Oh controlling him for the moment.
Oh with a nice head shot there.
Oh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Oh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fedorov is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
