The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali'i swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chai wants to counter the offense by Ali'i and move into the clinch position.
Chai slips under a jab.
Chai looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ali'i moves out of range as Chai strikes.
Chai fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ali'i connects with a right hand. Chai shakes it off.
Ali'i throws a poor cross that misses
and Ali'i takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chai swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chai moves out of range of the strikes.
Ali'i tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Chai is able to avoid easily.
Chai scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Chai moves away from the strike by Ali'i.
Chai forces Ali'i back against the ropes and clinches.
Ali'i's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Chai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Chai is looking to land a big knee to finish this one. He's got control of the head and as Ali'i tries to break Chai's hands from around his neck, Chai unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Ali'i will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Chaikka Chai!
