The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benoit takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Williams misses with a series of wild punches.
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Curt Benoit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Williams gets a clinch.
Williams misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Benoit.
Benoit wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Benoit using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Williams has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Williams pulls Benoit into guard.
Benoit has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Williams is proving hard to escape from.

Williams landing heel shots to his opponent's back. Benoit not amused, grabs the leg and drops back, looking for a heel hook. Williams doesn't react quick enough and Benoit cranks it - Williams screams in pain and taps out! That ws a really quick submission! Impressive stuff!
