Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omari Ayuba (ranked 3465 p4p, 24826 weight class) and Curtis Barrett (ranked 359 p4p, 487 weight class). Ayuba kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 2Pac - All Eyez On Me. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayuba lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Barrett tries for a takedown but Ayuba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Barrett dives in and grabs Ayuba's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ayuba pushes down on Barrett's head and hops out.
Barrett darts in looking for a takedown but Ayuba gets double underhooks and turns Barrett into the cage.
We've been told by Ayuba's head coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Omari Ayuba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Barrett.
Barrett goes for a double leg but Ayuba avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ayuba continues to drive forward.
Ayuba lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Barrett needs to keep his hands up - Ayuba had a free shot at his head there.
Ayuba cracks Barrett with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Ayuba cracks Barrett with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ayuba has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Barrett to stand back up!

Ayuba gets caught napping as Barrett dives in and scores a takedown. Ayuba manages to retain guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ayuba holds on and takes a little breather.
Ayuba manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Barrett manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barrett can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ayuba has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ayuba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ayuba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ayuba wobbles Barrett with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Ayuba dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Barrett to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
