Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank McCoy (ranked 2146 p4p, 3499 weight class) and Angel Pearlygates (ranked 94 p4p, 167 weight class). Angel Pearlygates looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hank McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Angel Pearlygates!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McCoy cracks Pearlygates with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pearlygates's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McCoy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pearlygates scrambles back to his feet.
That kick from McCoy tenderised Pearlygates's leg. Pearlygates is trying to keep his angry face on.
A lazy left from McCoy finds it's target.
It looks like Angel Pearlygates has been cut.
McCoy throws a good cross that connects.
A punch lands to the side of Pearlygates 's head but he takes it in his stride.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Pearlygates has eaten all the pies!
McCoy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McCoy lands a high kick to the side of Pearlygates's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! McCoy dives into guard, looking to finish.
Pearlygates is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCoy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Pearlygates is still in real trouble! Can McCoy finish him?
McCoy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Pearlygates seems to have recovered his senses.
McCoy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
McCoy postures up in Pearlygates's guard and throws a big left but Pearlygates blocks it.
McCoy connects with a couple of short punches.

McCoy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pearlygates utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pearlygates wants to sweep here but McCoy controlling him for the moment.
McCoy is stalling in the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
McCoy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pearlygates backs up against the cage.
Pearlygates swings widly with a right hand
and McCoy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Pearlygates shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McCoy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pearlygates looks winded!
McCoy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McCoy throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCoy is on top in guard.
McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pearlygates swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCoy prevents Pearlygates from getting back to his feet.
Pearlygates avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
McCoy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
McCoy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
McCoy connects with a couple of short punches.
McCoy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pearlygates swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCoy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
McCoy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pearlygates has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McCoy but great work by Pearlygates.
McCoy sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
McCoy is refusing to be controlled, as Pearlygates sits in half guard.
Pearlygates not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

McCoy looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Pearlygates pushes past his half guard into mount!
McCoy manages to control the position for a moment.
McCoy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pearlygates jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McCoy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McCoy and Pearlygates has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
McCoy sneaks back into half guard.
McCoy keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCoy works his way to full guard. Good work.

McCoy has his foot on Pearlygates's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pearlygates works his way back into a safe position though.
Pearlygates trying to control the position from guard on top but McCoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pearlygates is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've been informed that Pearlygates has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
McCoy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Pearlygates trying to control the position from guard on top but McCoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McCoy has his hands on Pearlygates's head, controlling the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

McCoy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

McCoy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pearlygates. Pearlygates circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Pearlygates chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McCoy can pounce on him.

McCoy scores with a jab. Pearlygates acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Pearlygates moves to clinch but McCoy breaks away
and McCoy counters with a stiff right hand.
Hank McCoy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McCoy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pearlygates.
Pearlygates misses with a takedown
and McCoy counters with a nice uppercut.

McCoy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pearlygates's hands.
Nice straight punches there by McCoy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McCoy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCoy drops Pearlygates with a big left hand and mounts him. Pearlygates is in big trouble!
McCoy connects with a bit shot that sees Pearlygates covering up! More strikes from McCoy and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! McCoy is our winner by TKO!
