Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artemis Rhodes (ranked 1476 p4p, 3034 weight class) and Mike Maron (ranked 91 p4p, 154 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Artemis Rhodes!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Maron!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes throws a big shot that misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Maron. That snapped Rhodes's head back.

Mike Maron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maron has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Maron might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Maron has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rhodes finds it's way round the side to connect with Maron's head.

Rhodes throws a hook to the side of Maron's head but Maron sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rhodes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Maron throws an overhand right that lands on Rhodes's shoulder, as Rhodes tries to avoid the shot.
Rhodes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rhodes takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mike Maron's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rhodes jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Maron throws a low kick but Rhodes avoids it.
Nice straight punches there by Rhodes. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rhodes.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mike Maron's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
