Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5588 p4p, 22903 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 91 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 98 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Fighter B looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fighter B not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Fighter B moves into full mount! Fighter A won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BOOM! Fighter B connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fighter A is wriggling around trying to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B throwing strikes but Fighter A uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Fighter A blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fighter B.
Fighter B misses with a head shot. Fighter A uses the momentum to regain guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A pulls Fighter B in to control the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fighter B accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fighter B with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fighter B working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fighter B trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter A is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fighter A is controlling Fighter B's posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Fighter B goes for a double leg but Fighter A avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fighter A continues to drive forward.
Fighter A stuffs the takedown.
Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Fighter A. No joy for Fighter B on that attempt.
Fighter A is looking for a counter combo.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B fails with the takedown.
Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick.

Fighter A darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fighter B trying to control but Fighter A postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Fighter B shoots in looking for a takedown. Fighter A tries to sprawl out of it but Fighter B keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fighter A manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fighter A closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fighter B did well to prevent Fighter A getting side control.
Fighter B is looking for a sweep. Fighter A is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fighter A lands a couple of digs.
Fighter A is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Fighter B looking to control but Fighter A passes into half guard.

Fighter A is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter A controlling the action here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Fighter B drives through with a takedown into Fighter A's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fighter A has Fighter B pulled in close to control his posture.
Fighter A working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter B.
Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fighter A is adopting a defensive guard.
Fighter B loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fighter A manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fighter B manages to get himself to full guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Xxx Xxx dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Fighter A bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Fighter B's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fighter A working the ground and pound but Fighter B is defending the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A happy to just control the position for now.

Fighter A sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fighter B is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
A lull in the action here as Fighter A stalls from top position.
Fighter B struggling a bit here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fighter B looks for a takedown but Fighter A sprawls well.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.
Fighter A fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fighter B avoids it really well and circles away.
Fighter B is looking for the big counter here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.
Fighter B closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter A circles away.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Fighter A not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Well, if Fighter A is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
