Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Folyang (ranked 3443 p4p, 4818 weight class) and Gao Chao (ranked 412 p4p, 494 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tiger Folyang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gao Chao!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folyang works Chao's body with a nice hook.
Folyang scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chao tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chao gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Folyang.
Chao fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Folyang.
Nice jab there from Folyang.
It looks like Gao Chao has been cut.
Chao shoots in looking for a takedown. Folyang tries to sprawl out of it but Chao keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Folyang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Folyang slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Folyang wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chao shoots in for a takedown but Folyang shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tiger Folyang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gao Chao.

Tiger Folyang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Folyang scores with a nice head shot.
Folyang comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Chao counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Folyang pushes Chao off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Chao on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Folyang looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Chao closes this distance looking for a takedown but Folyang circles away.
Chao fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Folyang swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Folyang throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chao on the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Folyang just misses with a punch to the body.
Folyang lands a jab to Chao's midsection.
Folyang keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chao is rocked!
Folyang clobbers Chao with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Chao is still on wobbly legs! Can Folyang finish him?
Folyang circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Chao to the canvas! Chao doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Folyang keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tiger Folyang!
