Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil The Phantom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by "On My Way to the Cage" by Rollins Band. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil The Phantom!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Phantom is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hall's half guard.
Hall is looking to improve his position.

The Phantom working over Hall with some ground and pound. Hall looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hall kicks The Phantom off and gets back to his feet.

The Phantom throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and The Phantom finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hall thuds a left hand into The Phantom's body.

Hall is refusing to be controlled, as The Phantom sits in half guard.
Hall keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall has hold of The Phantom's hands but The Phantom slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The Phantom misses with a head shot. Hall uses the momentum to regain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Phantom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The Phantom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The Phantom has managed to get both his arms back between Hall's legs - danger averted.

The Phantom postures up in Hall's guard and throws a big left but Hall blocks it.

Hall is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hall throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil The Phantom dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Hall gets caught flat footed, as The Phantom shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The Phantom controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The Phantom lands a couple of digs.
Hall has The Phantom pulled in close to control his posture.

The Phantom throws a big right hand that misses.
Hall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The Phantom trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The Phantom is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.
Hall keeping moving, preventing The Phantom from controlling successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hall throws a series of punches but The Phantom avoids them all with ease.
Hall throws a quick head kick that skims the top of The Phantom's head.

The Phantom closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hall to the mat! Hall manages to get full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The Phantom postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hall controls The Phantom momentarily but The Phantom frees himself.

The Phantom distracts Hall with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The Phantom works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The Phantom throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The Phantom frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The Phantom looking to finish Hall with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hall!
The Phantom lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hall hang on?
The Phantom lands a big elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The Phantom scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The Phantom wants to control the pace but Hall is squirming around nicely.

The Phantom postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hall looks a forlorn figure.
The Phantom lands a nice shot to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Phantom postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hall badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of The Phantom around the waist but The Phantom pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! The Phantom is the winner by TKO! The Phantom jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil The Phantom!
