Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Brawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steiner has chosen Atreyu- Doomsday as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Brawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Steiner!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brawn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Brawn. No joy for Steiner on that attempt.

Steiner gets caught flat footed, as Brawn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brawn's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Brawn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Steiner's head.

Steiner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Steiner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brawn defends well.
Brawn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Brawn is working Steiner over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Brawn wants to pass the guard but Steiner is keeping the position.

Steiner is looking for a triangle but Brawn pushes his legs off easily.
Brawn wants to pass the guard but Steiner is keeping the position.
Brawn is working hard here to advance position.
Brawn cracks Steiner with a solid left hand.

Steiner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brawn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brawn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Steiner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brawn is aware though and is defending well.

Steiner working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Brawn has passed into half guard!
Steiner looks gassed!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Brawn lands a nice short elbow.

Steiner looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brawn is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Brawn is keen to just control but Steiner is a slippery customer.
Brawn slips a nice elbow through Steiner's hands, connecting with Steiner's forehead.
Brawn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Brawn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Steiner on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Steiner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Brawn is nestled in close to Steiner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Steiner is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brawn scores with a couple of nice shots.

Steiner is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Brawn pulls his head out easily.
Brawn looks to score some points with some ground and pound.


Steiner is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice strikes from Brawn there.
Steiner is still in real trouble! Can Brawn finish him?
Brawn is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Steiner is hurt! He's hurt bad - Brawn fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Steiner from any more punishment! Congratulations to Brawn! Great finish!
