The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee wants to clinch.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Bautista is looking to land body kicks.
We've been informed that Lee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A head kick misses from Lee.
Bautista throwing a counter right hand but Lee manages to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bautista feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Lee tries to land a front kick but Bautista steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lee moves away from the strike by Bautista.
Bautista keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
It looked like Bautista was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lee.
Bautista scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Lee tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bautista is able to avoid easily.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Bautista pushes him off.
Bautista takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Drax Bautista has been cut.

Lee lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Lee moves into the clinch.
Lee tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bautista lands an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bautista wants to break free but Lee has control.
Lee lands a hook that snaps the head of Bautista backwards.

Bautista pulls guard effortlessly.
Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bautista is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lee, into his guard.

Lee is pulling down on Bautista's head. It's preventing any offense from Bautista, at least for the moment.

Bautista is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lee is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lee has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lee content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bautista has locked up a guillotine! Bautista's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lee is holding on here and Bautista must be using up a lot of energy. Lee has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bautista gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Drax Bautista decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Mikie Lee spoke after the fight, saying 'No way he beats me clean. He has to be juicing. '.
