Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Dos Angos (ranked 3986 p4p, 3991 weight class) and Slyde Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slyde Sloan!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Angos misses with a hook. Sloan ducked under it nicely.
And Sloan responds with a good body kick, but Dos Angos manages to step out the way in time.
Dos Angos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sloan circles away.

Dos Angos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sloan's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sloan wants to get back to full guard.
Dos Angos is looking to take a break and control but Sloan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sloan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dos Angos is working away from the top position though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dos Angos shoots in for a double leg but Sloan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dos Angos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sloan for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dos Angos cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Dos Angos's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dos Angos duly obliges.
Sloan circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sloan darts in and clinches Dos Angos up against the cage.

Dos Angos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dos Angos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sloan throws a good cross that connects.

Dos Angos takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Dos Angos moves into the clinch.
Sloan throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dos Angos gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sloan.
Sloan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dos Angos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dos Angos wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A solid leg kick lands there for Sloan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Slyde Sloan.
