The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darius stalks Marks and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marks's face. Marks staggers backwards, shaken.
Marks dodges the punch combination from Darius.
Marks lands a nice shot to the body.
Marks fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Darius on the side of the head.
Marks lands with a shot to the body.
Marks lands with a straight right. Darius didn't see that one coming.
Marks keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Darius will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Marks counters with a left to the body.
Marks slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Darius looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Marks lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Marks throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Darius's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Marks dives in looking to finish as Darius flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Marks's strikes! Marks is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Darius's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Darius was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
