Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandru Mircea (ranked 1975 p4p, 3664 weight class) and Tommi Ritola (ranked 214 p4p, 383 weight class). Mircea comes to the cage accompanied by Shatter. Alexandru Mircea is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommi Ritola!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mircea misses with a takedown
and Ritola counters with a nice uppercut.
Mircea tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ritola sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mircea somewhat.
Mircea throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ritola.
Mircea misses with a head kick.
And Ritola responds with a good body kick, but Mircea manages to step out the way in time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ritola wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mircea takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ritola ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mircea moves away.
Mircea scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ritola wants to clinch.
Mircea seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mircea avoids a kick to the body.

Mircea slips under a jab.
Ritola fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mircea manages to avoid it.
Ritola throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mircea sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mircea shoots in for a takedown but Ritola shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ritola swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mircea feints a jab promting Ritola to slip. Mircea then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ritola slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Ritola throws a push kick but Mircea slaps the foot to one side.
Ritola throws a sloppy head kick and Mircea moves out of range easily.

Mircea blocks a jab.
Ritola on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ritola throws a leg kick but Mircea sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ritola tries to land a front kick but Mircea steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mircea looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ritola connects with a single shot there.
Mircea fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mircea gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ritola counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ritola tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mircea paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A quick step to the side and Mircea tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mircea lands a head kick!
Ritola has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Mircea or perhaps it was just good defense by Ritola, which made it look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Alexandru Mircea will probably get the nod.

No joy there for Mircea, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Ritola.

Ritola throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mircea.
Mircea takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
