The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magee shoots in looking for a takedown. McDonald tries to sprawl out of it but Magee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDonald manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Magee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McDonald rushes Magee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Magee jumps guard but McDonald stands there with Magee around his waist. Magee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McDonald connects with a nasty looking knee right to Magee's face.

McDonald has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Magee regains guard immediately.

Magee is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but McDonald frees his head nicely. Oh but Magee has switched to an armbar! McDonald is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
