Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between BIg Cholo (ranked 399 p4p, 920 weight class) and Jarrod Beard (ranked 25 p4p, 54 weight class). Beard has chosen Ladies Love Country Boys - Trace Adkins as his entrance music. Jarrod Beard has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with BIg Cholo's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarrod Beard!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cholo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jarrod Beard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cholo was well out of range. Poor timing from Beard.

Cholo tries to bum rush Beard with a series of wild strikes but Beard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cholo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Cholo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Beard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cholo throws a hook to the side of Beard's head but Beard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Beard decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cholo's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Horrible takedown attempt by Beard or perhaps it was just good defense by Cholo, which made it look bad.

Beard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Beard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Beard connects with a nice short shot to Cholo's temple.

Beard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cholo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Beard lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Cholo quite badly. Cholo pulls Beard in close trying to recover. Beard postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Cholo on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Cholo doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
