Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kai Vongvichit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Kim!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vongvichit tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kim defends well and Vongvichit ends up having to push Kim into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Vongvichit pulls guard effortlessly.
Kim wants to pass the guard but Vongvichit is keeping the position.
Vongvichit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kim on the ground.
Kim wants to stand but Vongvichit has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kim throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vongvichit's waist but Vongvichit gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kim off to one side.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kim will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vongvichit as he jumps to the side.

Kim drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vongvichit defends it well.
