Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quinten Hendricks (ranked 4649 p4p, 5506 weight class) and Han Seul Kim (ranked 484 p4p, 518 weight class). Han Seul Kim will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinten Hendricks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Han Seul Kim!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hendricks clinches up with Kim and pushes him back against the ropes.
Hendricks misses with a body punch.
Kim looking for a takedown.
Kim tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hendricks tries to throw a body punch but Kim avoids it by throwing Hendricks back against the ropes.
Kim is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hendricks is defending well.
Quinten Hendricks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Han Seul Kim.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hendricks forces Kim back against the ropes and clinches.

Hendricks manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Hendricks wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kim stands and steps away. Hendricks gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hendricks is trying to trip Kim. He has hold of a leg but Kim is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hendricks persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Kim is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kim is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hendricks defends well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kim has an active guard here but Hendricks has managed to pass into half guard.

Hendricks looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kim defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hendricks.

Hendricks clinches up with Kim and pushes him back against the ropes.

Kim is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hendricks pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hendricks ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hendricks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hendricks holds on and takes a little breather.

Kim decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hendricks, up you get!

Hendricks shoots in but Kim avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kim throws a head kick that Hendricks semi-blocks.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hendricks in side control lands a decent elbow.
Kim is not content to let Hendricks control the position.

Hendricks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kim knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hendricks controlling the position from side mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kim tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hendricks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kim goes for a takedown attempt but Hendricks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

BOOM! Hendricks connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Quinten Hendricks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hendricks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kim was covering up waiting for the punch and Hendricks finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kim is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kim is breathing heavily.
Hendricks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hendricks is posturing up here but Kim has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hendricks tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hendricks has to tap! Slick submission there by Kim!
