Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malig Mferi (ranked 1368 p4p, 2339 weight class) and Iranian Hulk (ranked 146 p4p, 253 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Iranian Hulk!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mferi clinches up with Hulk and pushes him back against the cage.
Hulk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mferi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hulk misses with an uppercut
and Mferi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hulk drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hulk showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Hulk wants to control from the top but Mferi keeps moving.
Hulk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hulk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mferi wants to get back to his feet but Hulk is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hulk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hulk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mferi is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hulk has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hulk tries to score with some ground and pound. Mferi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
You can see the frustration on Mferi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hulk wants to take a breather but Mferi manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Hulk.
Hulk throws an elbow that misses. Mferi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hulk's guard. Nice move by Mferi!

Mferi stands and steps away. Hulk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hulk can't find room to land a body shot as Mferi controls the action.

I was talking to Mferi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Malig Mferi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iranian Hulk.

Mferi tries to stall but Hulk uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Hulk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mferi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hulk is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mferi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hulk wants the takedown. Mferi is fighting it off but Hulk persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mferi's guard against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hulk stops Mferi from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mferi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hulk finds it's way round the side to connect with Mferi's head.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Malig Mferi will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mferi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

No joy there for Mferi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hulk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mferi tries to avoid it but Hulk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mferi to the ground. Mferi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hulk is rocked!
Mferi pushes Hulk against the cage. Mferi is working some dirty boxing. Mferi pushes off with a quick right hook! Hulk goes down! Hulk tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Mferi moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malig Mferi!
Malig Mferi gave a mention to sale cheap affordable cost money save deal discoun in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
