The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguilar takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Leary swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Aguilar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Aguilar.
Aguilar lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Aguilar.

Aguilar gets through Leary's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Aguilar gets underhooks to prevent Leary's takedown attempt.
Leary is trying to break the clinch but Aguilar is controlling him.

Aguilar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Aguilar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Leary moves into range and connects with a jab.

Aguilar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Leary looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Aguilar scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Leary tries to bum rush Aguilar with a series of wild strikes but Aguilar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Aguilar takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Leary swings and misses with a hook to the body.

James Leary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leary changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Aguilar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aguilar tries to land a leg kick but Leary saw it coming and moves away.

Aguilar misses with a wild body shot.
Aguilar thuds a left hand into Leary's body.
Leary lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Aguilar at a distance.
Leary digs a good hook to Aguilar's body.
Aguilar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Donk. Leary catches Aguilar right on the button with a cross.
Aguilar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Leary.
Leary connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Leary lands a glancing blow to the side of Aguilar's head.

Aguilar is rocked!
Leary swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aguilar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Leary paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Oh Aguilar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aguilar pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Leary goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Aguilar looks up at the clock. Bad move! Leary lands a right hand from hell, dropping Aguilar. Leary pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
