Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deandre Willams (ranked 4836 p4p, 4669 weight class) and Ernest Chabot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willams comes to the cage accompanied by call me revenge. Ernest Chabot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deandre Willams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ernest Chabot!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chabot shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Willams manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Willams looking to control.
Chabot passes Willams's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Chabot is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Chabot has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chabot is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Chabot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Willams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Willams is breathing heavily.
Chabot takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Chabot is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Chabot's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like Chabot might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Willams rolls, trying to escape but Chabot keeps control of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chabot controls the position.
More stalling from Chabot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ernest Chabot dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Chabot closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Willams did well to prevent Chabot getting side control.
Still in half guard, Chabot seems content to control.
Chabot is continuing to stall.
Chabot with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
The adventures of Chabot the control monster continue. Boring.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Chabot.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chabot has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Willams!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chabot has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ernest Chabot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Willams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Willams controls Chabot momentarily but Chabot frees himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Chabot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Chabot decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Chabot frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Willams has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Chabot has good solid back control here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Yet more stalling tactics from Chabot.
Ernest Chabot has got the better of the ground game so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ernest Chabot comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chabot has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
