Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jaylin Yates!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Scott!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates throws a push kick but Scott slaps the foot to one side.
Scott takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Scott fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No joy there for Yates, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yates fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Scott checks a leg kick.
Scott takes one to the side of the head.
Yates misses with a series of wild punches.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Scott has eaten all the pies!
Yates throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Scott.
Scott steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Yates.
Scott throws a body kick that misses.

Scott gets the takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yates wants to get back to his feet.
Scott taking a breather here.

It looks like Scott might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Scott tries to get to his feet but Yates is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Scott in his guard.
Scott is standing up over Yates. Yates looks to escape but Scott dives into side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Scott tries to move to mount but Yates blocks the move with his legs.
Scott prevents Yates from escaping the position.
Scott wants to stand but Yates has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Scott content to stall in guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Scott is looking to stand up but Yates won't let him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jaylin Yates will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

It looks like Robert Scott has been cut.
A head kick misses from Yates.
Scott is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yates swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Scott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scott has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yates is proving hard to escape from.

Let's hope that Scott has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Scott is pushing down on Yates's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yates is fighting to maintain full guard but Scott has managed to sneak the leg through.
Yates is trying to stand up here but Scott is controlling him well.
Robert Scott has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Scott darts in and clinches Yates up against the ropes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Scott manages to break the clinch.
Scott darts in looking for a takedown but Yates gets double underhooks and turns Scott into the ropes.

Scott perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Scott tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yates knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Yates pushes Scott off looking to stand but Scott dives back in and keeps control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Scott tries to clinch but Yates is having none of it.
Yates tries a head kick but it misses.
Scott dodges the punch combination from Yates.
Yates lands a jab-cross combination.
Yates misses with a double jab.
Scott swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Yates misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yates appears to be looking for a big counter.
Scott falls off balance throwing a combination
and Yates counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Scott thinking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right-left combo lands from Yates.

so Scott counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
