The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Geri.
John throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Geri counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A solid body kick from John .
A head kick misses from John .
John throws a body punch but Geri moves out of range.
Geri misses with a wild body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Geri. Those never looked like landing.
Jihadi John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Geri throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
John dodges the punch combination from Geri.
Geri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and John has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
John lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Geri fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt John .
John jabbing away but nothing is landing.

John lands the left hand.
Geri circles away from the clinch attempt.
Geri pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
John is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
John looks to throw the jab but Geri is out of range.
John throws a head kick but Geri moves out of range.
John has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
John works the jab nicely.
John misses the jab.
John smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Geri throws a sloppy head kick and John moves out of range easily.
John throws the kick towards the body but Geri avoids it.
Geri seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
John rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Geri counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops John ! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Geri!
