The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gomi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gomi misses with a combination
and Barbosa counters with a stiff right hand.
Gomi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

letting Barbosa counter with a right hand.
Gomi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gomi duly obliges.
Gomi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Gomi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barbosa finds it's way round the side to connect with Gomi's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Barbosa connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Gomi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Barbosa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Gomi is rocked!
Barbosa darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Gomi's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Barbosa before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Mason Barbosa tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
