Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jovan Dickons (ranked 895 p4p, 1243 weight class) and Reino Ruttu (ranked 137 p4p, 178 weight class). Dickons comes into the arena with Sidung blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruttu throws a solid leg kick but Dickons takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ruttu.
Ruttu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dickons counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ruttu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dickons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've been hearing reports that Dickons has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Dickons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dickons lands a nice hook to Ruttu's body. Ruttu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Jovan Dickons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dickons throws a hook to the side of Ruttu's head but Ruttu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dickons does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Dickons dives in for a single leg takedown but Ruttu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Ruttu swings wildly with an uppercut but Dickons uses good head movement to avoid it.

Dickons moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Reino Ruttu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dickons takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Dickons counters with a shoot takedown. Ruttu fights it but they end up in guard.

Ruttu is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Dickons frees his head nicely. Oh but Ruttu has switched to an armbar! Dickons is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
