Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iov Kuzmin (ranked 2001 p4p, 4582 weight class) and Emberson Cabral (ranked 87 p4p, 242 weight class). Kuzmin comes to the ring accompanied by La Caution - Thé à la Menthe. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Iov Kuzmin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emberson Cabral!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Watson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Cabral.
Kuzmin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cabral throws an off balance right hand
and Kuzmin counters with a single leg into guard. Cabral didn't expect that.
Cabral wants to stand and escape but Kuzmin is having none of it.
Kuzmin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Kuzmin lands a couple of digs.
Kuzmin postures up.
Kuzmin prevents Cabral from getting back to his feet.
Cabral is trying to control the position but Kuzmin postures up.
Cabral is looking to stand up but Kuzmin isn't so interested in that idea.
Kuzmin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kuzmin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cabral works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kuzmin postures up in Cabral's guard and throws a big left but Cabral blocks it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cabral can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kuzmin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kuzmin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kuzmin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuzmin is in close to Cabral's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kuzmin is working Cabral over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Cabral is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kuzmin is controlling him.

Cabral looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kuzmin is one step ahead there.
Cabral really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuzmin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kuzmin stands up over Cabral, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cabral is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kuzmin loads up on a big left hand. Cabral felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Kuzmin looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Cabral can't hide his disappointment, as Kuzmin celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iov Kuzmin!
Iov Kuzmin bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
