Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Chatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chatum comes to the cage accompanied by The God That Failed. Matt Chatum has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chase decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Chatum really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chase is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Chatum tries to kick Chase off but Chase keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Chase postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Chatum to stand up.

Chase closes the distance and clinches up with Chatum, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes Chatum against the cage but Chatum circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Chatum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chase circles away quickly and effectively.

Chatum rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chase moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chase shoots in but no luck this time.

Chase shoots for a takedown but Chatum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Chase pushes down on Chatum's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Chatum tries to kick Chase off in order to stand up. Chase Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chatum is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chase has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on Chatum's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chase moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
I looks like Chase might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Chatum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chase wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chatum is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Chase is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chatum knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Chatum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chase on the ground.
Chase is looking to take a break and control but Chatum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chase stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Chase shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chatum's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Chatum will probably get the nod.

Chatum tries to bum rush Chase with a series of wild strikes but Chase uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chatum throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chatum is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Chase has taken his back.

In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
