Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Outer Haven (ranked 24779 p4p, 4257 weight class) and Vladyslav Kyrylenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Outer Haven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vladyslav Kyrylenko!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haven darts in and clinches Kyrylenko up against the cage.
Kyrylenko misses with a body punch.
Kyrylenko swings wildly with an uppercut but Haven uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kyrylenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Haven.
Haven throws a head kick but Kyrylenko moves out of range.
Haven ducks under a wild hook from Kyrylenko.

and Haven counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kyrylenko won't be happy with that.
Kyrylenko is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Haven asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Kyrylenko is pushing Haven's head away, looking to escape. Haven manages to hold on to the position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kyrylenko throws a low kick, looking for Haven's leg but Haven calmly moves out of range.
Haven tries to counter with a takedown but Kyrylenko is quick to defend against it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Haven tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kyrylenko paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kyrylenko tries to sprawl but Haven drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kyrylenko pushes Haven off but Haven dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kyrylenko seems a little lost for a moment, as Haven dominates the positioning.
Haven prevents Kyrylenko from escaping the position.
Haven slows the pace down.
Kyrylenko wants to get back to his feet but Haven drags him back down.

Haven seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kyrylenko for as long as he can get away with.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Haven has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Haven's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Haven decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Kyrylenko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Haven. That did some damage!
Kyrylenko throws a looping overhand right but Haven ducks down to avoid it.
As Kyrylenko tries to get set, Haven tries to push him back and clinch up but Kyrylenko manages to avoid the attempt.
Kyrylenko throws a leg kick which misses Haven's front leg but catches the back leg as Haven tries to avoid it.
Kyrylenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kyrylenko wants it to stay on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kyrylenko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kyrylenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haven moves away.

Haven jumps guard and drags Kyrylenko to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kyrylenko tries to stand but Haven is controlling from the bottom.
Kyrylenko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Outer Haven.
I think Haven has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
