Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lawrence Chester!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bielkheden tries for a takedown but Chester sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Chester forces Bielkheden back against the cage and clinches.

Chester lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Chester wants to take a breather but Bielkheden is having none of it.
Bielkheden wants to control but Chester is keeping busy.
Bielkheden is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Bielkheden is trying to get back to full guard.
Bielkheden is looking to control Chester's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bielkheden avoid being mounted?
Chester not doing much here.
Chester wants to stand up but Bielkheden is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bielkheden closes the distance and clinches up with Chester, looking for a takedown. Bielkheden pushes Chester against the cage but Chester circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Chester changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bielkheden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Chester counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bielkheden!
Bielkheden is breathing heavily.
Bielkheden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Chester's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bielkheden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chester tries to control but Bielkheden wriggling away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bielkheden gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Chester counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bielkheden's guard now.
Bielkheden is trying to control the position but Chester postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chester gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bielkheden decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chester's guard.
Chester has momentary wrist control but Bielkheden slips an elbow through the middle.
Bielkheden with a flurry of punches that miss.
Chester is trying to keep Bielkheden in close.

Bielkheden gets to his feet. Chester looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Chester counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Chester seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bielkheden has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chester can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bielkheden in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lawrence Chester showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Chester really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bielkheden. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chester takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bielkheden pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bielkheden can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chester is looking to escape.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bielkheden cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

David Bielkheden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bielkheden is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chester gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Bielkheden.
Well Chester has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
