The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birdwhistle on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Woods wants to reverse the position here. Birdwhistle has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Woods is forced to tap! Woods looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
