The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yates defending well as Tanjung loads up on a big left hand.
Yates really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd cheers as Tanjung lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yates doesn't seem phased though.

Yates uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tanjung.
As Tanjung looks to move away, Yates throws a big counter combo but Tanjung just gets out of the way.

Tanjung has managed to clinch.
Tanjung's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Yates is trying to break the clinch but Tanjung has him pressed against the ropes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yates uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tanjung.

Tanjung might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tanjung takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Yates takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looked like Yates was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Yates with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tanjung to score with a decent uppercut.

Yates gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tanjung gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Yates is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
